VGA Bluetooth icon WM5

Hi everybody

I have made a new icon for the bluetooth.
The originals was very ugly...

You must only put the file in windows dir, then soft-reset...

You can view the result here.

p.s. remember to apply setsecury.exe patch before copy the file in the windows dir.

If you don't use the english version of WM5, you must rename the file according your system language. For example, in the italian version of Win O.S. you must rename the file from BTTray.exe.0409.mui to BTTray.exe.0410.mui.

Great icons lord.cassandra, thanks! I have a problem with the WiFi one though (at least, I think I have!) - I've installed it as directed, but the original standard 4 bar indicator is still present, and overlays the new icon so its not really visible unless the WiFi connection is turned off! Any advice as to what I've missed or need to do?

I have tried to rewrite the file but it does not rewrite it and they give error to me already I have used the setsecuity.exe and put in off.

which it is the problem, like I can rewrite the old one icon?

Thanks, Finally after the WiFi icon (more than 5 months I guessed..) the BT icon is now available

Is there anyway we can change the icon? (I have several BT icon/pics, perhaps other member would like to customize the icon according to their preferences?)

You can open the mui file and import\edit the icons. Importing icons is a little tricky. You import the icon and you have to delete the existing resource ID and then set the properties of the imported icon to be the same as the original one you deleted.

Hope that made sense. My question is I see there are 5 icons. 2 are the same. What are the different button states? I was going to create a custom icon too but wondered about the 5 icons and their implied button states.

I couldnt make the BT icon work on my x51v. So I played with the resource ID's and figured out what was wrong.

Anyway. I thought I would post my icon for those of you that are having trouble with the original one.

Same here.

The WiFi icon is there but my Bluetooth is still the old one.

I have done a softreset after the download.

Can you tell my what you did to the resource ID to get the Bluetooth new icon to show up?
