Change the Today screen colors
Well, my trial of the Tweaks2k2 .NET PC Edition ran out, are there any alternatives I can use to make this change? Thanks.

Well, that is a good application, but I am having a hard time getting a blacker-start bar. With Tweaks2k2, I could get it a lot more darker. Is there any way to do this with this application?
Here's my previous Today screen:

Search for WM5 theme on this site. There is a free program that does it.
There is also a thread that has information on building themes with that give you solid black bars. For that, search for solid black bars.
Edit: I remembered the name of the person that did the free program. It is vijay555. And the thread that covers it is here: http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=116325

That might just prove useful. I have been trying to change that "5" value but it never works for me. I create it, then use 00 00 00 00 for black, but it never saves. Any help and explanation would be great.

I prefer a solid black background for my Today screen.
On the PC, I simply used "Paint" to create a 640x480 jpeg filled with black and copied it over to my Axim using my SD card. I then set that as my background image.

When you chose a custom image as background, that image is very fade, I mean tranparency is hi (70% I think). How this tranparency can be set to a custom value?

You need to view it in Picture viewer and select the photo. Then goto Menu select Set as Today Background. The next screen will enable you to alter the transparency

Once the colors are changed, does any one know how to get it all back to the default colors??? Other than doing a hard reset?

Maybe you can try TdyScheme Changer. It's also possible to obtain full black bars for WM5 using this app. Discussion Thread regarding the app can be found here.
