Washed-Out Background Image

When I try to apply a background image to my today screen it appears washed-out. Do I have a setting wrong or do I need to modify my image?
Thanks!

If you use the built in Pictures program to set an image as wallpaper you can adjust the transparency before you put it on your desktop.

Just choose a transparancy of "0" for no transparancy, "100" is totally transparent located in My Picture program.

What if you've made Resco picture viewer your default photo program? Is there a simple way to restore the original picture viewer as the default program? Or do I have to re-install? Or does Resco offer the same feature?

I think you can go to File->Settings->Associations in Resco Photo Viewer and uncheck everything. That should do the trick.

Select Pictures from the program list, just to do your wallpaper, but use Resco as your default photo viewer.
