Yes, the skin let me use transparenty. FOr 3D window tiling and previews, there is a program called TopDesk. However, I admit it does not feature other enhancement of Vista. Well, maybe I'm just jealous that you have Vista. ;) So, let's not start another big debate. For the graphic card, I use a laptop so the graphic card is not very flexible. Also, laptop graphic card are way more expensive than desktop card. x300 with 64MB costs about 100-200 when I bought I6000, and that's not even enough to support Aero!

Hi,

first sorry for my bad english... I'm from Germany and my English are sick

I don't understand how i can install the WAD skin! I create a new Theme called "Vista" an put the Files from the WAD-Package in the folder. But how can i made the .skin file ?!

Please me The Style are so cool and i will it on my HTC-Universal have

I am too stupid for it The Theme-Directory is right but without a skin file i can't use the Theme....:rolling:

In order to use the WAD theme, you must have Wisbar Advance 2 or Wisbar Advance Lite installed (WAD is a plug-in for those applications and WAD will have to be enabled from those applications). In Wisbar Advance 2's settings there is a menu selection called Plugins. Once you enter that setting, check the box next to Desktop. Click OK to exit Wisbar Advance 2's settings. Exit Wisbar Advance 2 and then restart it. WAD will load a few seconds after Wisbar Advance 2 loads. You should see a blank screen with only your today theme "wallpaper" showing and the skinned taskbar at the top of the screen.

Copy the WAD files from this skin package anywhere you want to on your ppc. Since there is no skin file for WAD for this particular skin, all you have to do is tap and hold on an empty part of the screen and select items from the pop-up menu to add.

For example, if you want to add a shortcut to an application, tap and hold and then select New then Shortcut. Browse to the application you are creating the shortcut for, select it and click OK. Then you have the option of using the built-in icon, a small version of the built-in icon or a custom icon. To use a custom icon, uncheck the box next to Use Default Icon and then browse to find an icon in one of the WAD files you copied to your ppc.

Once you add them to the screen, you can move them around on the screen virtually anywhere you want to.

Today plug-ins will have to be disabled from the built-in today screen before they can be added in WAD. The built-in plugins like calendar and tasks, etc. with the exception of the Messaging plugin will not work in WAD. You will need to add a text object for these or use a third party application like PocketBreeze.

Are you talking about the recycle bin that you see in some screenshots? There was some talk about trying to link it to Resco over at Lakeridge forums but I am not sure that anyone was successful. I could be wrong though since I don't use Resco, I didn't pay close attention. Many WAD users use it as a shortcut to the remove programs control panel applet of their device.

One question...Xcilion,

On the AERO edition, you have that "minimize" button next to the WA2 menu button. Can I put that minimize button there as well if I'm not using the AERO Edition? For that matter, what's an AERO edtion?

In Microsoft Windows Vista, AERO is one of the pre-installed visual styles, or skins if you will. The AERO Edition in this skin, is based on this AERO visual style. There is also an AERO Express version which is based on another visual style in Microsoft Windows Vista.

You can place and assign all buttons to whatever functions you like in the Wisbar Advanced Settings dialog. Go to Button Assignment for assigning several taskbar buttons, and to Button Order to place the buttons at the location you wish.

It should be one of the skin selections in Wisbar Advance 2.
