Skins for The Core Media Player?

I'm using The Core Media Player largely because WM5 crippled Windows Media Player (you can't even make playlists anymore).

Unfortunately, the standard interface for TCMP is dog ugly and very bare. Have any skins been made? Anything would be better than the original.

Well, for me its more importent that TCPMP is the best player on the market and its freeware, I dont care much about how it looks like.
So I dont need Skins.

I also use the player in full screen mode, so I dont see the player while I see a movie :-)

Back to your question.... dont know If there´re skins outside... :-)

TCPMP is about to be re-issued under its old name of BetaPlayer but I think it will be commercial and no longer freeware. Probably won't be too expensive though.

The new version will have skins but, like ingope , I don't really see why you need them. Like him I use it mainly for viewinf videos on the full screen mode.

I would prefer a media player which actually has clearly visible controls and settings which you can access without fooling around in several different windows, and a media player which provides more information about the media you are currently playing.

I admire TCMP, and it's better than the crippled WMP, but the fact is that it's not all I want.

TCPMP is soon to be released as Betaplayer, and I believe they are working on skins support.

See this?

That's WMP on my Axim 3i. Note the playlist options:

* New

* Rename

* Delete

See this?

That's the screen where you can edit an existing playlist. Note the '+' sign down the bottom, enabling you to add files to it.

Let's go back to 'Organise Playlists', and make a new one:

The name of this dialogue box is 'Create Playlists', and that is exactly what it does.
