I have noticed a number of threads were people have to soft/hard reset their PDA's, and it is when they are usually modding the appearance using programs like WA,WAD, and PB.

Is skinning the visuals of the PDA risky or detrimental to the performance of the PDA?

I used to run my hx4700 skinned with WA2 for over a year with no problems. I noticed a very TINY slowdown, but it was not detrimental.
