has anyone downgraded their WMP from vers 10 to vers 9 on an x51v? I cannot seem to be able to get any skins to work on version 10, I have them in the correct WMP folder and yet when I open the player and click Options, then Skins, it only sees the default blue player. I think most skins out there were created for vers 9.

Thanks for any help. I have the coolest skins I downloaded, it is a Jukebox, and I can't even use it.

You cant downgrade wmp, b/c its in the rom.

Your skins should be in a folder, and all the files needed should be in that folder, and that folder is put in the wmp folder. But it sounds like u know what ur doing.

It could be the fact that the skins arent wmp10 or wm5 compatible, which u mentioned. I think i was able to get wmp9 skins to work on wmp10 on 2003se.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I have dragged the entire folder for the skin into the WMP foler under Programs on the Ax, but no joy. It seems a lot of skins are compatible with wmp10 but only on W2003SE like you say. I found ONE skin that was compatible with both wmp10 and wm5 and downloaded it and it works, but it doesn't show the tune name that is playing or anything; all it says at the top is Now Playing ..... and no tune name. So I guess I have to stick with the regular blue player skin. I so loved this jukebox skin....... oh well. :realmad:

Only 2 WMP skins work for my X51V: Elegant VGA (purchased) and Windows Vista Portable Edition.

Crossbow WMP skin and Tweak v2, both will not load, and they're supposed to be make for WMP 10?

Have no idea why some work and others don't.

I acctually took this skin, and put black over the white area, and i use it now. Its landscape, vga, wm5, wmp10 compatible. But u have to sign up for ppc thoughts to download.
