How to make my 51v looks like the april's fool x51v WM6?
I just got the WA2 only
how about the icons and the rest?

I'm sure there are icon editors, which you can change any apps icons.
One of them is Pike.

And you can skin the start menu, and the bottom bar with Icbar, Wisbar, Gigabar, etc....

Where can you get "Pike"? Is it a desktop based editor or a on the PPC in a app form?

O.K. I admit that pike doesn't "change" programs icons...
But... there is this one "icon pack" that changes most icons to a Vista (WM6) like look. If I only could remember its name, or the website..... It would only work for 2003 up (I have 2002 X5), and I haven't upgraded yet , so I wasn't really interested.

If I find/remember it, I'll let you know.
(It is a .cab file) (I think......)

WA2 has B I L L I O N S of WM6/Vista Themes.... shouldn't be a prob.

pike doesn't work well for this...
But there are programs that change folder icons, and you might be able to change the program icons.
I can't remember the program that changed the folder icons, but there are programs that can change program icons.
If I remember the name of the one that changes the folders, or find a program to change the program icons, I'll let ya know.

Changing folder icons is pretty easy actually...
Ex:
Change My Documents icon: A shortcut to the shell (in folder) with the icon
Ex: "\Windows\ceshell.ddl,-162" is the game icon

Changing a program's icon is a bit harder...
Ex:
Change ActiveSync: Exctract icon, then change it, then somehow put it back..

--OR-- "Open" the program with.. say Visual tools, then find the
icon/s and change them, then put back on ppc.

--NOTE-- These are ways --I-- can think of to do (except for the folder icons)

the question, will the window itself allows rom modified / overwriting ? I try to copy the rom files but was halted by system

In fact, I didn't think it could be done.....
And... I tried it... it DIDN'T work...

OK, I admit that changing programs .ico's IS INFACT IMPOSSIBE!!

And... I still cant find that "vista" icon "pack.." (by the way, the icon pack is free)

But... I still think there MIGHT, INFACT, SOMEDAY, EVENTUALLY, MAYBE, POSSIBLY, COULD BE, a app to "open" the .exe file, and change those .ico's

Yes you can overwrite it with a 3rd party app.
Be carefull though, don't overwrite the wrong thing.....

The program to change ANY .exe's, .dll's icons. It is called "Exe Icon Changer" by "SoftBoy." (to bad it costs $50.00)

Still can't find that Vista icon pack thingie.

My "Vista" WA2 theme is ALMOST DONE!!! (I'll let ya know when its done) (and how to get it)

a free prog like Resourcehack will do, I got some vista icon convert to TGA 64x, not mine but pm me if you want
