They absolutely are! We have one on order... should arrive in about 2 months. (man, waiting is hard!)

The new MINI's are great fun, like the old one for the go-kart handling, but they have a lot of nice modern safety features, which the old one could never fit, things like airbags, side impact protection etc etc.

The old 'Classic' Mini is really great though, I have had two in my short driving life, but this new MINI (note Cap's - seems standard practice to call the BMW one a MINI and the old 'Classic' a Mini) is the doggys cahooters

Very cool....I desparately want to test drive one but am afraid to b/c I don't want to fall in love with it. My wife loves them too and it's pretty hard to stand up to her pressure.

go have a look at www.mini2.com - a great site with lots of info.

you will fall for it.

as a ex-driver of the 'Classic' Mini, I was very skeptical, until I drove it!!! I was pressured into having a test drive, and fell in love with the car there and then.
