Greetings!
2 Questions:

1. Am I able to open an existing file .tsk file and play with it or modify it?

2. Somewhere I downloaded a file full of .tsk files which was called something like 480_all_themes and when I select any of them they only show about a quarter of the image. I am using a 4700 so I have VGA screen so don't expect it's because they are too big but I don't know how to open and resize them anyway.

Yes you can. You can do it in the Microft theme generater and Poket McDeb/Kamware Thememakers. But if the themes have small images, they will not look so well enlarged/reized. You can go to wwe.spbsoftwarehouse.com and go to the ext theme making section. Should be in or around Pocket Plus. Theyy have a link to the MS Thme maker snd an add-on fo VGA Theme making. Also you dont jave to make Pocket Plus Ext skins if you dont want to.

MS Theme generator will open the 480 .tsk file but the image is way too big and you see only a corner of it. If you try to move it around to see more of the image if won't move. It will only let you resize it to a smaller section of the image....how do you get the whole image too show? I tried to attach a copy of the .tsk file to this post but it seems to be disallowed as an attachment file type . I also tried to attach the zipped file with all the .tsk in it and the "Manage Attachements" features says the file is empty! Maybe it doesn't even recognize zipped file contents if they are in an acceptable format?!

Try McDeb Thememaker. It has alot more features and controls.

the demo version puts a 'watermark' on your output tsks.

I'd still like to be able to open up some of these files (if they arent' copyrighted and play with them.
Isn't there a way to get these images into Photoshop Elements or some similar program.

Well if you would like to star fresh with a new theme but still want the save BG or SPB Pocket Plus indicators they will be in your /WINDOWS Directory. All the Pocket Plus images start with 'pls_'. The Todat Themes images are tdywater (The BG) and stwater (The Start menu image).

Red Seven, in McDeb thememaker, you can extract the images from any existing .tsk files. It's probably the only program on the desktop that can do that.

Haha even better swampy. Well you said it was the best. Does it extract SPB Pocket Plus images as well?

i got a gut feeling that u can simple install SE_VGA.
launch it > change setting to something like display vga background (lower part of the setting screen)
on the upper part, DON'T select the "real vga mode!"

i m not sure unless i try the tsk myself.
can u show me where u download those tsk?
