skin too big!
Hi

I've just downloaded a skin from here:

The skin is vga and i have a hx4700 which is vga, however i can only see a small section of the background on my today screen. The image seems too big.

How do i resolve this?

I just downloaded another one.
Theme Type: Standard 2002/2003

This fitted fine.

The first one was 'VGA' i think, and it was too big.

I thought my hx4700 was supposed to hav a vga screen!!

Actually this has happened to me as well. With like one or two themes from there. I just quit trying, it seems to be t he backgroound image.

WM2003se screws things up a bit with themes. It may be a True VGA theme...this makes the picture 4x the size it's supposed to be. In order to get it to work right, look for SE_VGA themes. These have the picture imbedded correctly to fit our screens.

I'll try to dig and find my link to some good ones. I downloaded the pack (30 themes) and can't remember where it was right now.

Boy...do I feel like a dumba**! LOL That was the link I used.

DO NOT USE THE 640x480 THEMES!!

The link you need has the 53 Pocket PC Ext VGA Hi Res themes.

The middle one's (640x480) will not work unless you're running SE_VGA or OX_VGA...you need Ext VGA themes for the stock resolution. WM2003se sees the other ones as 640x480 (they are) but still displays them in QVGA (pixel doubling) so they come out 4x as big as they should. The Ext VGA themes do not, but keep the 640x480 resolution....extremely sharp as a background, and the best I've seen so far.

Have fun! (wow...23 more themes...might have to look again.)

OH...by the way...these will NOT display correctly in the MS theme generator.
