What exactly is themes and skins?

Does ipaq already have "themes and skins" like for examp hx2755 what theme and skin does that have?

I am not sure if I understand all this..

Themes and skins are graphic elements that change the look of your system. Many PPC apps have the ability to use skins to change the app's look and even change the way you interface with your PPC.

Some skinning apps:
1. Wisbar Adv (Task Manager)- allows skinning of top menu bar and bottom bar. Also allows for changing the look of various buttons in the system.

2. Pocket Breeze (PIM Manager) - allows skinning of the today screen plugin that displays contact/calendar information.

3. Weather Panel - allows different looks and information to be displayed on your today page.

There are others apps that support skinning.

and other programs that can have the look changed.

This forum is for people to discuss new skins and theme for these various programs.

so basically it is like clothes and assories? Or like on a home computer the wall papper to fit one's likeings?

what is the best theme and skin program that wont bother other apps in your ppc? How do you know if it is compatable with your own ppc?

the "skins" (wall paper, right?) are outstanding...but I bet those were taking on a VGA screen...I have (well not yet..not at this moment... I will have my device today...yahoo) is a QVGA screen...I cant wait...thank you

Nice and VERY fast PDA. who cares if it's QVGA. the speed makes up for that!!

Learn the functions first, then you can play with themes and mods later after you know your way around the device.

Yeah it will take me a while to get used to it. I never owned a PDA before. This is my first one.

There is still a lot for me to learn. I have been reading these forums and I get lost when they start talking in computer language. I will learn them I hope lol lol.
