That was in fact the problem. As it happens I had downloaded the Theme Master demo on the recomendation of someone else on the site and it too was looking pretty screwy on my display. Image viewer was offcenter and the buttons just didn't look right. It looked down right amaturish. Anyway, here's the prize I promised you. My first theme that I whipped up real fast of my brother's Harley. Mine is behind his.

Any ideas???

I downloaded themegeneerator v2.msi from the microsoft site. Is this the correct file or should it be a zip file. I have clicked on the above file a couple of different times,installing and uninstalling and I keep getting the following.

c:\programs files\theme generator\skinapp.exe

A device attached to the system is not functioning.

then;
the skinapp.exe file is linked to missing export shell32.dll:shget folder pathA


I may be missing the obvious but would appreciate any help i can get.

By the way the shell32.ddll file is in my windows\system folder.:crooked:


The microsoft site said it was for 98,2000 and xp ; but could be that it is really only for 2000 and up os sytems. I am still running 98se

Not only ditto slkcb76, but also, I'm getting the same dialog boxes on both my home PC and my work PC. (Running Windows 98 on both)
