faded/pale background?
I recently downloaded a new .tsk I liked from pocketthemes.com and if you rename the .tsk to .cab you can extract the files (bitmaps in my case) from it. Well, after extracting the bmp I wanted to add a little icon in the bottom right hand corned but still use the same picture. After opening it in Photoshop, making the addition, saving it, and then sending it over to the axim, something happened. I opened the Today menu and at the bottom I chose, "use this image as background", and located my new pic....When I looked at it on the today screen however, it was very very faded or pale. It looked like the opacity had been set to like 50% or something. I was wondering if anyone had any similar problems, or knew why this may have happened. Any ideas would be appreciated!

This always happens when you choose to use an image as the background.

You need to recreate a new .tsk theme file using the altered image you have created in Photoshop. To do this, you will have to use a Theme creation application like ThemeMaker . This is the only way to make an image appear in the background without being faded.
