How do I get my 'taskbar' here?

any way to get it to the bottom like this? it does this in the player only, so is there some way to get it down there all the time, kinda like XP?

Looks like that's a screen shot of WM5, which I believe has the Start menu at the bottom.

However, here's a program that will allow you to do it on WM2003

This one...

can be downloaded from here for free

I've been skinning Pocket PCs since 2001, and as far as I know there is no way to get it down there without third-party software skins. I have used wisbar (not my fav) and PPX3k (www.ppx3k.com) which allows for a taskbar on the bottom, kinda. I am not aware of any registry hacks to move it there, but if there were that would be AWESOME because it would be way more like windows. If anyone knows anything, post back.

Pocket PC's O/S allows programs to move the bar to the bottom when they are running. This is a hold over from the first Pocket PC O/S I believe and very few programs use this. I think ArcPad is one of the only other current programs I have seen do this. But when you close or exit the program the bar returns to it's normal location. I have not heard of any true hacks to acomplish this, though with a lot of skinning you can make it appear this way with WA2 and WAD or with PPX3K as mentioned above.

this is just going to keep putting off the want for a new PPC.

you can even put icons on the desktop! this is like a mini-tablet pc.

although ... it uses 4MB of RAM when running
