Thanks for the work. I did as you said, downloaded, unzipped and then pasted the folder into the skins folder. None of the graffics appear for the skins but I can flip through all the titles for the skins in WMP 10 skins. When I click on one and then go to the player, I just get a black screen. Am I missing something?
Thanks again for the work. I am running wmp 10 on a windows 2003se Axim x50v.

Did you place the entirety of each folder into the skins folder as seperate folders? Eg. "G.Amp", "uPod" etc. or did you just place the contents of all the folders into one big folder, because that won't work. Another thing is, you are runnimg WMP10 on a WM2003SE device, wheras I am running WM5 with WMP10.2, so these skins may only work if you have the WM5 OS or higher. There should be an upgrade for your device out there to bring it up to WM5.
By the way... Thes skins should theoretically work on ANY VGA (480X640) device running WM5 or Pocket WMP 9 or higher, not just the X51v. And another thing, I need feedback to see how I'm doing! C'mon people, I'll get discouraged if no one offers suggestions. Please, help me out here!
it's awsome what you're able to do with these skins, i'm pretty new to the pocket pc, as of yesterday, but i found a lot of cool iPhone skins for pocket pc phones with slide-to-lock feature and finger gesture mp3 scrolling
I was hoping to have an iPhone skin for my brand new Dell Axim X51v integrated with the pocket pc skype for wifi calling, i was also hoping to have the javascript support offered by MiniMo for google map capability and AJAX'd sites launched by the iPhone like GUI

Final REV. for iPod Skin
I actually took some pictures of a friends iPod, and used them to calibrate this skin, so it should look as close to the real thing as possible. Enjoy!:approve:
(Just extract the .skn file, and replace the existing one in the skin's folder)

Let me know what you think, i don't know what will or won't install on a Axim vs a Pocket PC phone
That's a good question, unfortunately, there are several issues with skinning a Pocket PC to look like an iPhone. The first is that Pocket PC's have either a QVGA (240x320) or VGA (480x640) display, and the iPhone uses an HVGA (480x320) display, so resizing things to fit is a trickier matter than just doubling the dimensions like from QVGA to VGA. Also, the theme you see on a Pocket PC's desktop is an actual fle, resized to fit the device, wheras with a iPhone, what you see is just a background. You may be able to theme or skin various elements of a PPC, but not all programs are affected by skinning. The only way to really change your PPC's look is to use a program like Wisbar Advance 2, or SPB's Pocket Plus. There may be a skin for Wisbar out there that will give you an iPhone look, but to get the sliding unlock feature, you would need a program like Slide2Unlock, found at pocketpcfreewares.com/en. Even then, this is no guarentee that you can get an exact iPhone look, but you can get a fairly close approximation, if you know where to look. Hope this answers your questions.
(Also, this UI appears to be a skin or somesuch for a program called iLauncher, since I don't own that program, such a UI set would be useless to me, sorry.)
Unit Zero,
I am having problems getting the skins to work. I am running WM5 on an Axim X51v. I can't understand what I am doing wrong. I unzipped the folder containing all your latest skins. There were no separate folders, but only ~.skn files. I created folders for each of your skin files (i.e. G.AMP, etc) and copied them to the SKINS folder on my Axim X51v under the WMP folder. When trying to choose a skin, I can see the names as I select [previous] or [next], but there is no graphic representation displayed. If I choose a skin with no graphic I only get black screen in WMP. The default and Alley skins work, but nothing else. Please help. I'd like new skins with larger buttons for use while driving in my Land Rover.
Regards,
Chris D.

The latest skin files release is just that, a skins file release, all it is is an update to the existing .skn files already in each completed skin folder, so you will need to download the actual skins from these posts: #1, #6, #7, #8, and #9. These contain all the requisite files for each skin. Then download the file updates from these posts: #10, #11, and #20, and replace the .skn file in each folder with the latest issue of with the same name.

Some more VGA Goodness... And introducing Winamp!!
Well, it's been a few days, and I've been working on some new releases. First up, we have the beautiful WMP 11 skin, created originally by Xcillion, as part of their Windows Vista skinsuite for the X51v. There were only a few minor errors that needed fixing, the seek bar's track width, and the position of the "Mute" button. I also erased that ridiculous skyscape, in favor of a more realistic black background. You get both a Portrait, and a Widescreen version. Next up is a WMP 11 skin for Winamp, or more specifically, for a program called PocketMusic. (Basically it's Winamp for the Pocket PC, trial version is Free! AAC Support can be added to the full version!) Originally, this skin had a whitish background, but after some fast and furious alterations, I came up with this more realistic appearence.
(Note: just copy the skin folder after extraction, like always into Windows Media Players "skins" folder, and if you own PocketMusic, just place the extracted ".wsz" file into the "skins" folder of PocketMusic.)

Elusive Winamp skin...
I have been up and down the web searching, and for the life of me, I cannot seem to find the skin pictured below: Can someone tell me where it can be found??
zangai, im not sure but i'm guessing that what you downloaded was a vga skin, it wont be recognized on a qvga device. Xcillion did make a qvga version tho XcSkins - PocketPC Skin Development - Our Work
