You're absolutely right, it does seem to have amnesia with this skin, just give it a minute, and it will remember it is using that skin. I'll see if there's a coding error, and try to post a fixed version soon.

Reply to Kruoznix: (UPDATE)
Yes, there IS a programming bug The author decided to include a line of code for using the "ratings" option. I'm pretty sure that this option only works in WM6, so this piece of code is what caused the amnesia with the skin selector. I deleted the code block for "ratings" and the skin now works perfectly! Here are the fixed .skn files, just extract them and replace the existing ones in your WMP 11 skin folder, you can also delete the image file that starts with "ratings" Enjoy!:approve:

VGA Icons for Broadcomm BT Stack
I recently installed The Widcomm for X51v Bluetooth Stack by Mikelspikel, found Here: http://www.aximsite.com/boards/x50-x...velopment.html and I couldn't help but notice that this utilities Bluetooth icons are the same old flat non-VGA icons of old, so I borrowed a few pointers from the VGA Bluetooth Icon WM5 by lord.cassandra, found Here: http://www.aximsite.com/boards/theme...-icon-wm5.html and came up with A VGA icon set for the Widcomm/Broadcomm Stack. After installing the BT stack, just place the .mui file from the ZIP below into your "Windows" directory, and soft reset. Presto! Cool VGA Icons for your new BT Stack!
Enjoy!:approve:
(Note: You will only see the Icon, not the text shown in the screenshot)
zangai, im not sure but i'm guessing that what you downloaded was a vga skin, it wont be recognized on a qvga device. Xcillion did make a qvga version tho XcSkins - PocketPC Skin Development - Our Work
Well, I think you're right, but I really need the G.amp skin... And the original does not work, because it is written for WMP 9

Beautiful skins but to me that's a deal-breaker.
Funny, you're the only one so far to notice... Actually, most of these skins are modded from existing skins in the QVGA resolution, and converted to VGA, so if there was no fullscreen toggle available in the original, I didn't bother to create one. Also, on my device, I have fullscreen set to a hardware button, so the thought of a fullscreen button in the skin itself never occured to me. In addition, I use TCPMP for all my video files anyway, the video support for PWMP is mainly a gimmick, to utilize all of PWMP's available functions.
what i would like to see more than anything else in a skin would be a toggle screen on/off button, i have that mapped to hardware right now and i use it all the time, turns off both the screen and the digitizer and really saves battery when listening to music.

Unfortunately, the only thing you can do is what you're doing now, because I'm pretty sure there is no supported code command for screen shutoff in PWMP. I tried to create a button once to do just that, but it caused the skin to not even be recognized by the program. So the best thing to do is just keep on keeping on with what you're doing now.

At long last... A new Skin!
It's been a while, and after taking a minor vacation from skinning, I finished work on this little number. Originally created by a talented user over on deviantart, it had a few coding errors, particularly in the video sections of the code, but here is a fixed version for everyone to enjoy! (Note: Includes both Portrait and Landscape modes)
Well, it's been awhile, and I changed my X51v's look again with the "Jcars" skin for Wisbar Advance 2. At the same time, I changed my WMP skin to "Tricorder 2", and lo and behold, no album art! So I quickly corrected this oversight, and now it looks even more like a real tricorder! (Album Art for the original series Tricorder skin is kinda pointless... but what the hey.) Just extract the ".skn" files from the ZIP, and replace the existing ones. Enjoy!:approve:

A New Upgrade!
Here is a new addition to the WM6 suites, both the full and widescreen editions now can add a black screen to their repertoires. You need the original suites found in posts #7 and #8 in order to use these skins.
Just place the files from each zip into their respective directories, and presto! 2 new skins!
