Windows Media Player Skins

Hi, I am using windows media player 8.5. Does anyone know where I can get some different skins for this? Preferably free!

And, what directory do I use once I find them?

does anyone know how to create your own skins and make them work? I have tried, but they don't seem to work. (I don't have a ppc yet, but I am playing around with the ppc2003 emulator) I have a feeling my problem is in the .skn file

i have no idea how to make your own skins. For what i know (which is not much) it's not possible. But maybe someone else has the answer.

Do a search on this website for Media Player Skins, cause a while ago i asked about skins too, and on that forum is a link. Hopefully that link will work unlike this one above.

Never tried it, but looking through one of the skins I downloaded, the skn file is what controls it. Effectively all it's doing it loading the bitmap, marking out areas on the screen for buttons and then actioning the button press.

In the skn file there are areas that set the image [ bitmaps ] and various other sections for the active components.

It's probably just a matter of using an existing skn file, inserting your own images and updating the skn file to reflect the new button locations, which looks like they're in pixels.

Go to www.betaplace.com and fill out a request form, I wanted to beta test Windows or Office, but I got selected for the Voice Command beta, which is a pretty nifty program. It will even say the reminders when they pop up on the screen or say your next appointments if you ask it.
