wisbar advanced vs Pelmar Wisbar

Ok,

So i'm currently using Pelmar Wisbar but like some of the extra features in Wisbar Advanced. I went on to the lakeridge site and looked at the limitations. According to the information page it says

"WisBar Advance cannot display notifications"

As i'm resonably new to my Axim what does this mean? Does this mean that when alarms go off for appointments etc. that I won't see them pop up on the screen as I do now?

Can somebody help explain this, as i'd love to move to Wisbar Adv.

You are correct. They do have an icon for notifications though, and if there is a notification pending, it will display it, but if there is not a notification pending then the icon will do nothing. This sort of defeats the purpose of a notification, because it acts as a reminder. If we have to remember to check the icon, we could remember the notification in the first place. It also does not show signal strenth. When I am using PocketWINC for example, it does not show the little signal symbol.

In which case it's pointless for me to move to this Wisbar Advanced, one of the key features I use my Axim for is reminders. Brain like a sieve me.

Strange that Pelmar Wisbar handles notifications correctly and Wisbar advanced doens't!
