Well, I've got the work done on my most ambitious UI yet....
Tilson Lake. It is now available for download at the speedZone!
In this screenshot we see the "main" interface. There are "shelves" for placing application shortcuts. The view outside is modular and can be replaced (a simple graphic can be used... the window is an overlay with transparencies) Virtually everything is tappable. And will offer a few hidden surprises.

In the final version, tapping on the window will take you outside!
Note: the icons displayed here are just for show...as an example of how it looks like with applications defined. someone was "put off" by the pocket e-sword icon (PDA with the cross), so I just wanted to clarify that those are MY customizations... as delivered, no apps are defined.
Tapping on the desk blotter from the main page brings up this screen. Tapping the telephone launches "Contacts" but can be changed to launch a different app. Tapping the notepad brings up "Notes". Tapping on the chair takes you back to the main screen. Tapping each of the books brings up the appropriate PIM slot.

This is what it looks like when you tap "Things to Do"... tap the book again to "close it".

Here's a view after tapping the "Daily Planner"...

I'm giving away a little secret here... if you tap on the desk blotter while in "close-up mode" (with the books, phone, and notepad visible) you can "move the blotter aside and hide some apps under it! Tap the blotter again to restore the blotter, tap the chair to go back to the main view.

This is the entertainment center inside the cabin. The VCR/CD player are preset to launch a music player, tapping the TV launches Pocket MVP. You can see that I already placed GSPlayer/MIDI on the shelf. Again, plenty of places to store apps, and the view in this window is customizable too.
