font color on start menu

I am probably overlooking something simple, but how do you change the font color on the Start menu? I am using Theme Generator to make a theme and need the font a different color to make it look right.
Thanks!

I have the same problem. I do not think that it is possible. Neither Microsoft Theme Generator nor ThemeMaker Lite can alter the Start Menu text color. This is an unfortinate omission.

This might be worth a try, it claims to Adjust all theme colours (NavBar, Command Bar, Message Boxes, Alerts, etc.)

There's a free trial, so I guess there's nothing to loose.

also have a solution to this problem called Pocket Theme Manager that

allows you change the text to any color you want) as well as giving you

the ability to switch out themes on your PocketPC at will.

If are confident in hacking your registry you can change the start menu

text color through the following registry key:

"HKLM\Software\Microsoft \Color", "39" (REG_BINARY), The data "00 00 00 00" will change the color to black.

To go ahead and answer the question that usually follows this... To change the color of the highlight/selected text in the start menu go to "HKLM\System\GWE" and then select "syscolor" It is one long string of RGB values separated by 00's. The section pertaining to the start menu selection color is the 13th index in the list.
