Yes, you can customize PPX to not show anything in the upper-left corner.
Thanks for the answer to my question. I already have the demo on a CD, and I will be trying it tonight. I can see how PPX works now, but I'm still curious about HOW the skins are created. Does PPX alow you to create your own skin from scratch, or do you need another program. For example, what program doesbillyevil use to make his themes and what program did you use to make WinXPSE?
One final question, is there a regular windows XP (not SE) that has all of the features in your SE?
Thanks.
Skins (or UI - User Interfaces) are created using PPX itself. You need a graphics editor like MS Paint, PaintShop Pro, PhotoShop, to create the graphic elements. Once the graphics are created you simply place them in the appropriate folders on your PPC and then tell PPX when and where to place them.
As for regular Windows XP... I'm not sure what you mean. What in particular are you looking for? Are you talking about having blue window controls instead of silver? If so, it is a simple matter to create blue versions of those graphics and use my ConfigXP to easily set WinXPSE to use those new graphics.
The cause of the first problem (text of the icon running off the menu) is caused by the font size that is being used. For some reason, PPX's font settings are global...not unique each UI. I designed WinXPSE with a slimmer font. If you like using a bolder/larger font, then shortening the name as you did is the only workaround.
As for the owner name, it appears to be a bug in PPX... I'm contacting the author about the problem.

Ok Tom thanks.

Can anyone please help me. I just got my Axim and am wanting to install this great program. I paid for the PPX and it is running fine. But when I got to setting>interface>install the winxpse3.xui file shows up under my documents. It seems to load everyhting, but then I can't figure out how to configure or get the WinXPSE to show up. What am I doing wrong??? How do I do this:
Post-Installation: After the UI is installed, it will be necessary to update the slot for configXP to point to the location that WinXPSE was installed to.
That doesn't work. It only shows the default. ??? I am trying to upgrade PPX. I just realized that I am running 2.21. Trying to figure out how to upgrade.
Just log into customer sipport with your email and reference number.
And when you go to switch to another UI, make sure it is pointing to the same place. For example, if you installed to SD/PPX, make sure when you go to switch, that you are looking at SD/PPX.

Delete the old and installed the new (beta)version(.cab:) and use the same directory.
Peace,
Henk.

Um, ok, how exactly do I install the Beta version? I have looked, but can't figure out how to do it. All I get is the Cab file, but no instructions, etc...
thanks in advance...
