I have now totally ditched WAD2. Yes.. my today screen it not that fancy anymore but much to my surprise, I don't miss it at all! changed the sounds myself and using spb+.. performance is a LOT better with processor running at 208 MHz. made myself this in about 20 mins. going for the warm burnt orange/black look..

Scrunched up in Photoshop to be able to upload here, but here's mine as of today.

EDIT: Deleted image. No real point in 450x450 maximum.

Akajohndoe, he's probably using a VGA hack software, displaying native VGA. that's why everything's so small.

The screen capture program that came installed on my X50V snaps the screen to a .png file that is 480x640 and 115KB, which is too big to upload here, so I downsized it in PhotoShop. I'm not doing anything out of the ordinary reagrding VGA on the X50V, it's out of the box.

This site won't let me upload a 480x640; only a 450x450?

AKAJohnDoe...

Correct. There are filesize limits (100K I think off the top of my head) as well as image dimension limits. The max height and width are both 450. I little inconvenient since the screen sizes are larger on the new VGA devices, but not as inconvenient as having to link to off-site image hosting.

I'd say to get the text that small that he is using an OzVGA or SEVGA "true VGA" mod. Personally I think it is too small for comfortable glance reading...

There are a number of programs to create tabs like that - SPB Pocket Plus is what I use, but there are different ones.

Great program, resides on your desktop only. Small and will
capture the screen, "Get Capture." You can then, click
on the button "Save BMP", toggle the option, save as a *.jpg.

Works like a charm. Here's a link to the "freebie":
http://www.newmad.se/rnd-freesw-getpdascreen.htm

No resizing required. Usually results in file sizes under 30k.
Well under Aximsite's 100k max.

Used with my X50 and also with my X50v. A great utility that
was developed to troubleshoot PDA's. A commercial program.
