Well, you only can make themes for Windows Mobile, skins would refer to skinning different applications like Wisbar and Pocket Breeze

Snoopsoft Dashboard, Pocket Facelift and PPX are some more examples of Today programs that use skins. A theme has a file extension of .tsk, skins don't.

The latest versions of Snoopsoft Dashboard can also use .tsk files as skins.

A theme is the picture you see on your Today Screen. Its PC equivalent is the picture on your desktop. For more info on themes, check out the tutorial called 'Managing Your Today Screen.' The link is in my signature.

A skin is something you can apply to an application to change its physical appearance.

I think "themes" is an over used term at this site. What this site calls "themes" is just a desktop background. To me, a theme incorporates more than just a resized jpg.

There is more to a WM theme than just the background picture. You can make any picture your Today screen pic without any other software. However, the theme controls text color, the colors of the menu and program bars, the colors of the tap and hold circle and a few other color changes you can make through out the device.

i downloaded some themes for wisbar, not skins. How do i apply these?

Well you could read the directions or you could place the theme into the My Device/Program Files/lakeridge/wisbar advance/Themes folder.

i did that buddy but still they cant be imported..i got these skins from some site and they seem to only contain picture files...is there some some site that has good skins that work, im lookin for a windows xp skin for wisbar advance (just bought it) with the green and silver bar color...

Seriously though check out the directions I know you can mix and match components from different skins. So if you find one with the green start button and one with a silver...

Don't panic he has a valid point as I am dealing with this myself. This Link Has lots of Wisbar Advanced skins. But the directsion say note is the skin name

It says to install them into the Wisbar Advance\skins dir but instead there is a theme dir.. I have even added a skins dir but it never shows any of those skins as an option when you go into the wisbar settings..

Lakeridgesoftware.com has been offline for an hour or so so I can't pull any from there .. X

How did you go about changing the text color and the colors of the menu? I download WM theme generator and did not find any of these options available. It just allows me to switch the theme picture automatically. Thanks for the help
