Question for past or current Palm Users.

Hello,

A friend of mine has asked me if I convert some of my themes to a format he can use. I have no experience with the Palm operating system and do not know if I can. I am assuming that there is a way to make or change themes for Palms. I have the original graphics to make the Palm themes I just need to figure out how (ie background dimensions, any programs to do it?). Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

i havent used palm in a while but some of the palms are going to be very different, maybe if you post what kind of palm your friend has (clie,treo etc) someone can answer you.

There are a bunch of different variables in this
1st you wont be able to port a theme over to palm the best you might be able to give him is a background
2nd Unless he has a third party launcher he wont even be able to use the background
3rd Which 3rd party launcher? there are a few and each has its own specs for file type and dimension.
Between you and me I would have told my palm friend it was impossible just so I wouldnt have to do it.

MKREdit is right. The built in launcher for the Palm OS is not customizable with themes. You will need 3rd party software like LauncherX, ZLauncher, Mega launcher to do this. If my memory serves me right, I think only Zlauncher supports the use of pictures as background images. The other two only add the option to make the background a different color (I think).
