need help trying to alter parts of a wisbar advance 2 skin...
i was checking out this guide...
http://www.lakeridgesoftware.com/wisbar/skinning.html
and it is kinda confusing, cause i am not sure where to get started. if i alter an existing skin, i also cannot seem to open t the .skin file. what program do you use?
i am looking really to skin the top background bar and the bottom today menu bar...i was trying to copy a current skin and just change the picture, but that did not seem to work.
can anyone help just selectively skin parts of an existing wisbar advance skin?

File managers which let you change ext....such as total commander or ftpview.
If you rename the file from "filename.skin" to "filename.txt" then pocket word can update. resave in word as text file "filename1.txt". Then use the file manager to convert "filename1.txt" to "filename1.skin"

Can you just copy the file to your desktop, use the wider range of abilities available and then copy it back to the ppc?

Yeah, just make sure all the skin images are in the same folder as the .skin file.
