There sure are.... Microsoft was nice enough to give us Microsoft Theme Generator, you can use in with Sbp Extended Theme Generator. It is an add on to Microsoft theme generator to create VGA themes. Both are free.

And then there is ThemeBuilder. It is also free, but I have never used it myself.

Good Luck and have fun!

With this combo, even with VGA enabled, the start bmp is tiled in true VGA mode. So, I have to go back to MS VGA and come back. Is there a way to make this combo to create a *correct* theme file so that I don't have to do this? This is really a dumb situation.

What do I have to do to use SPB Extended theme generator?

I have downloaded, installed and used MS Theme generator it works well. Then I downloaded the SPB add-on. If I understand correctly, it is some kind of plug-in for the MS theme generator, so once I installed SPBTG, I should have access to it by running MSTG. However, I still have the MS without any added feature. I tried installing and uninstalling both apps twice, and it still does not work.

Can anybody tell me what I am doing wrong?

Thanks

Read the online manual for the spb Theme Generator add-on. I believe you have to name some of the files with specific names before the add-in will kick in. The MS program doesn't look any different with the plug-in running initially. But it does kick in and start asking you questions you normally don't get asked at some point. BTW I like sbp PocketPlus and find an advantage to using it. You might too so those added files when using the spb add-on may actually be of some use

I finally found it. Silly me, I thought that after clicking on the Finish button, the theme was actually finished!!!

I never thought there would be yet another step after the FINISH button

Anyway, all's well that ends well. I got my VG theme.

Thanks
