do i need winzip
ok I found a cool skin..oh man do I have questions.but first..
I will now go and unzip onto the axim..but than what????? I am assuming they will just magically go to whereever? There is no "readme" for us folks just learning ppc's....last night I unzipped and moved it over..but all I saw were gifs.......

yep..just what I thought..I unzipped..and they are just a bunch of pictures...>>>ummm ok???????????????? now what??

Was the file extension on the skin you downloaded .tsk?

A file... hmmm, Sounds like a Snoopsoft Dashboard skin.

Extract the .tsk file to your desktop then transfer the file to your My Documents folder on your device. Now click on Staft > Settings > Today, highlight that file in the list and click on Ok.

sorry I meant it's a hole bunch of pictures..it's that cool star-trek theme or something.>I don't know..LOL

no it doesn't work..I extracted it to the ppc and when i try and get it in the today box...it only shows the darn folder..and no pictures will show up..errrrrrrrrrrr will keep trying..

Just the .tsk file. Are you using winzip wizard view? Switch to winzip classic view and just extract/transfer that one file.

LOl after all that I don't like it..LOL back to finding more..
..I see now ..I just moved it over there...
(I'm a teckie and truely didn'd know anything about a .tsk) one great thing about my job and learning all this stuff?

NEVER STOP LEARNING!

You probaby needed another app installed to take full advantage of that skin. I used to have a tricorder skin that had the Star Trek sounds including nurse Chappele as thre voice of the computer when I tried something wrong. I've gotten more streamlined since then. I only turn the volume up when I'm listening to music/movies.
I miss being young. < sighs >

I'M still doing something wrong..LOL unbelievable!! It never was a startrek thing..it was just a logo that said axim? LMAOOOOOOOOOOO

LOL this is getting funny...I didn't know you needed an App to run it.

so far I've got longhorn, wizebar and that trek and none of them do what they are suppose to do..I JUST WANT SOMETHING SIMPLE....LOL unbelievable..well at least I'm getting close...too bad I can't stay up and play some more...thanks for your help..I'll be back tomorrow to play again with two days off..can't wait..
