Today Screen Skins

Ok I want to ask what is probably a really dumb question but here I go.

I have Thememaker and can make themes but I don't find it allows me as much freedom as I would like to change everything so is there software I could use that would allow me to effectively create Today screen skins, I am not looking to create for Wisbar etc just regular today screens.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but if I Google for this I get too many answers so i would appreciate some guidance regarding the best software to use.

Download a skin from one of the sites and look at the parts. If you have an image editing program like photoshop you can alter them any way you want.

Depends on what it is that you want to change. If Thememaker can't modify it, there is a good chance it can't be changed because of Windows system constraints. Could you be more specific?

I would like to modify the top and bottom bars specifically and maybe change some of the icons, I have seen it done, the chrome skin by Juni is a good example.

That requires Wisbar. It works well and is very very flexible. Chech my PDA for the lasst ones I played with.
