TrueVGA Themes for WisBar Advanced and Pocket Breeze?

Hey guys, I've been trying to figure out why none of the themes I use mainly for WBA2 won't correctly display. It seems as though the start menu is cut shorter (pretty much the same height as the QVGA Start Menu). I was curious if there was a post saying how to expand the images which are simply too short in width or perhaps a place you can download TrueVGA themes for WBA2. The themes I have for PocketBreeze are not designed for TrueVGA either, but at least they display correctly though not with the graphical clarity they could achieve.

I have looked through the forums for both software programs and no one makes a mention of themes for TrueVGA, only VGA (which is SE VGA). If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. Also here is a link to the skinning guides for both programs more for my reference than anything in case I have to skin my own themes :)

Hi McNutty :)

When you use True VGA, your device becomes a QVGA device, only with a logical (pixels) size of a VGA, so basically, any QVGA skin you will use on WA or PB while running with True VGA mode will show correctly, not VGA skins :)

You can find some really nice QVGA skins on our site on the following URL:

http://www.sbsh.net/products/pocketb...php?page=skins

Apart from this, inside PocketBreeze general settings there is a setting "Use VGA hack mode", when checking this option inside PocketBreeze, PB will "override" the True VGA mode and will become regular VGA again (only the PocketBreeze section of the today screen). This means that with this option checked you can use again VGA skins for PocketBreeze (this only effects the PB skins).

I hope this helps a bit :approve:

Thanks for the followup. That does help quite a bit in understanding what dimensions the start menu and the task bar at the bottom switch over to. I'm guessing that means for the QVGA stuff to fit correctly on TrueVGA that I need to edit at least some of the images to be the full width (480 pixels instead of 240), but other than that it should work just fine. If I change it to tiled, it seems to work, but only on skins that are solid and have no shapes at the ends :)

I love being able to use that VGA Hack option in PocketBreeze, but I am curious if the QVGA or VGA images provide a better quality image or are they going to be the same? That's pretty much the only other question that I have.

Thanks a ton for the extra info :D

If you spend any amount of time on the Wisbar forums, you will see tons of problems with the software that never seem to go away with newer releases. I keep returning every month or so to see if they have managed to create a stable version yet - still not even close. I've uninstalled WA2, and I'm skeptical they there will ever be a stable version.

A stable release should be out next week per the developer.

the .27 release is a beta version. 2.0.1.10 is a release version. The forums have the .27 release in their beta section, I believe.
