A couple of Theme questions
Hi, I have 2 questions hopefully you guys can help with.
1. I'm using OzVGA to go into VGA mode. Except when I do this, my "normal" themes seem to be tiled. Is there a way to stretch them while in VGA mode? 2. I'd like to be able to store themes on my CF card, instead of in the Windows directory where I place them now. When I go into settings, then Today, I seemed to be able to browse and find my new "Theme" dir on my CF card, but no files are listed, even though there are a few .tsk files in there. Any ideas? I'm sure this is an easy fix, I just can't figure it out. Thanks! Aaron

ANd back to question #1 - I guess there's no easy way to switch between themes when going from vga to normal res. You just have to have some themes in each resolution and switch between them depending on what mode you are in. Oh well. Not that bad..... Thanks guys!

in the lates release of ozVGA, there is an option to have your them set to QVGA, so you can use your qvga themes in vga mode. Most of my themes are also qvga, but i run mostly in vga and it works like a champ...

But can you expand on your above statement? What's the difference then between the normal VGA and the hacked VGA via OzVGA?

The differences between the 2 are because of the size of everything. When you run a program like OZ_VGA it runs all graphics at 96 dpi. When you run in the regular VGA mode garphics are at 192 dpi.
Because the graphics are at 192 dpi they become the same size as the graphics were on a QVGA device. However, they are much better looking because of the amount of pixels used to render it. With OZ_VGA everything is much smaller only 96 dpi. So it gives you more room due to everything being small. Another difference is in the size of the top and bottom bars. In the regular VGA (the one your device is in with no hack programs) the top and bottom bars are 52 pixels. The top and bottom bar are 26 pixels when you are using a hack program. This makes everything in regular VGA roughly double the sixe of stuff on a QVGA machine. This is the reason people say things are pixel doubled. Just remember that when you got your device you got a VGA device and you need nothing to make it go in to VGA mode. If you like the small icons and other stuff of a HAcked VGA mode then you will need to use OZ_VGA. Does this help?

Yep, that totally explains it. THanks. I always thought I was in QVGA until I ran OzVGA. Funny. TO be honest, I don't like how small everything is when Iim in hacked mode. In fact, I downloaded the new Ancient Evil VGA game today, ran OzVGA (cause I thought I had to) and thought it was very small. I guess I'll try the game again just in "normal" VGA mode and seeif it's any better.
Appreciate your time! Aaron
