No problem. I believe wooch has some others to list, from what he said in a previous thread. :) I got to save a pretty good amount of memory that way. Too bad the Visual Basic files can't be moved.

We'll see what we can do about this.
Any particular app. that we can try and test with ?
I don't use the DinarSoft app, don't even know the name of what you're talking about. But I have begun moving DLL files to the file store in my X5, using the Mad Programmer's SystemPath applet along with his gsGetFile.dll. In cases where CabInstl (or more recently my modified registry to have CAB files open a proper installation location dialogue) won't put the files into a card or file store I just move them manually, after a backup of course, and test.
Of the eVB DLLs the only one which seems to work is pvbform2.dll, which has been happy there for a week or so and allows full use of several eVB apps.
The NETWLAN relates to my Symbol drivers, the NICTT.EXE as well, the PrintDC is from FieldSoftware's stuff, and Resco and MSNMessenger things are obvious. Some others I've tested have either failed to allow program functions or they've 'pretended' to be moved.... then when I check back they're still in Windows, just a copy got made in the new location.

In my case it's freed up 1.57MB of RAM, so far. I'm pretty careful about installing things like Reader and Messenger updates to an SD card, and Sprite lives in the file store except for a couple of files. The Pocket IE Macromedia Flash6 plugin is also installed to the file store, and a host of other junk. No use clogging RAM with any more than strictly necessary, like Today plugins, PIM databases, and other stuff which just won't function anywhere else. Still, I have only 42MB free after soft resets. Got to figure some ways to dump out even more, as this X5 is very memory-leaky under WM2003 compared to before the upgrade.
I was able to move all .dll files, except those that go with visual basic programs and the visual basic .dlls.
I moved .dll files with no problems for:
MS Reader
MS Reader Activation
Pocket Everquest: War on Faydwer
ESoft's Arcade Challenge
Resco Explorer
Sprite Backup
Icom's 5 Dice Corsair
Handmark's 4.0 Student
We'll add the two biggest ones (lots of memory savings if you move any of them)
So far, Pocket Controller Pro will not work when its DLL files are moved to SD Card. Looks like its pretty picky ;) I moved its dll files back & it wrks fine.
So far, this is the only app that I've had an issue with.
I saved about 2.7 MB by moving dlls to SD. Thanks DinarSoft :approve: Will list any others that bark after being moved :)
Edit: Add ZenoKeyboard to the list. I'm not able to use it. I moved the dll file back to MM, and it still won't stick as my input choice. Now, I did delete the registry files via SKTools, but I did back them up. My hunch is that once I restore the deleted registry entry, it should work again.

This looks like a nice tweak and would be great if it was part of MemMaid.
DinarSoft, could you please add this to MemMaid as I don't like to miss up with the registry myself. It's always good to have everything in the same place.
Thanks

What do you want to add to MemMaid?
MemMaid is able already to move DLLs and make the necessary changes for them to work.
Make sure you have MemMaid 1.4 as this feature is one of the new features in this update.
