USB Flash Drives or SDHC in reader?

Yes, I want a Flash Drive so I can transfer data easily (Axim sucks for that). Is it better to get a USB Flash Drive or a SDHC card in a reader? :hide: I like SDHC in reader, so I can have tons of storage without occupying the space.

Are you transfering data from ur pc-axim?

If so, I'd go with a sd card reader, even as a flash drive replacement. I got one, and its not much bigger than a regular flash drive. Mine has two caps on it. One to cover the usb plug, and another to cover sd slot. An sd card reader has 2 advantages.

1. It can be used in the axim (as well as tons of other devices) and a pc. Take the sd card out and u got a flash drive for ur ppc.

2. Upgradeable Memory!! With a future of microsd cards already compatible with the sd card slot, you should be able to get many years out of this thing, even when/if sd cards become obsolete.

only SDHC has a upgardeable future. the price is often more for SD rather than flash drive. Flash Drive (Unless your doing SDHC) is faster, while SDHC may be faster, no Axims support SDHC (Only SD and SDIO)

I am using a 4gb sdhc in my x51v (factory A12 rom) right now.
There is a driver available that allows sdhc support and is easily found on this site. Btw, I have that same thumb sd reader as spunker88 mentioned and it works great.

Now that wm5 users can use sdhc, this is a great buy.

Also, i notice no difference in speed between a sd reader and a flash drive. A flash drive and a sd card are all just flash memory, basically the same thing.
