app question

wow, this section looks busy.

ok, heres my question. is there any way to manually make u3 versions of applications without having to wait on the company to do it? i really want opera on my new cruzer micro u3, but opera isn't u3 compatible.

btw, for those of you without u3, you should really consider it. i got mine because it was half off at best buy a few weeks ago (only $60) and its a 2gb drive. no matter which company you go with, i highly recommend the upgrade to u3.

thats too bad, i've been using firefox on mine for the time being, but i really prefer opera, and i even have firefox setup to emulate the opera UI somewhat.

Actuly Opera is on a flashdrive for some time all ready. I have a ton of Thumb Drives and have made several with diffrent running programs like Pocket Linux. I even have a few mp3 players that run right off my little drives. So far though the only company thats doing U3 is SanDisk and there new drives are not bad. I have a few 512MB for $14.00. But just for you heres a link to Opera 9 USB and your wait is over there is also a U3 version that you can use with your Thumb Drive too. Enjoy.

U3 is good as long as your employer doesn't mind unapproved software being loaded on their computers. I found a similar deal on a U3 drive, so I picked it up... Soon after I first plugged it in I was paid a visit from the PC security squad. I found a utility to remove U3 from a drive @ Bring the power of portable software to your USB flash drive - make it a U3 smart drive! There's a few utilities available depending on you brand. Keep in mind that this utility provides a one way trip to a standard USB drive, there's no going back.

Take a look at this site: eure.ca I haven't used them yet, but I've seen apps packaged by their software floating around usenet. Like Photoshop elements....
