@ symbol, any symbol!

You can also tap and hold on 2 then drag upwards to get the "shift" function. Works on any key or symbol as well.

That's a cool tip pkcarlton. :approve:
Works like a charm with the default keyboard. Do you use the resco keyboard at all? I think my repeat rate or maybe sensitivity is to high. It types a lot of numbers before I get a symbol. Not an issue on the default keyboard though.
Update: With resco keyboard change the default autorepeat sliders to Repeat Delay long and Repeat Speed slow and this works great!

Uh, I knew this day 1. I think it's in the standard documentation for the device.
Start > Settings > Input
It's all right in front of you. Down is for enter, right for space, left for backspace, and up for shift-key

Why does this have to be sticky?!
Im mean no offense but:
1) It does only appeal to the US keyboard layout
2) Youre not serious, this is a trick?

That is what I also thought.

Aren't we ready for the next trick? Like hold the power button and the display dims?

If you hold down on the screen with your stylus, 6 dots will appear in a clockwise circle, and then a context menu will appear. Sorta like right-clicking in Windows.
I just though you might find this useful ;)

not only that but swiping right is "space" and swiping left is "backspace"
...and seriously, who actually reads the standard documentation?
i didn't even set up my device before flashing it with wm6

i love this feature. i know where most symbols are without having to tap shift and never use the space bar or backspace keys anymore. it should have become standard on all touch keyboards but the ipod doesn't do it.
and yeah... you don't even have to RTFM, it's right there in a diagram on start->settings->input.
