I can't stop chuckling at this, as I get a kick out of running things in circles or in a piggyback fashion. Using your X50v, WM2K3, A05, follow the setup explained here:

to connect your Axim to your PC so that the Axim controls the PC (use wireless-G to connect).
Next, use BT to wirelessly connect ActiveSync to the same PC. I'm sure there are tutorials here on Aximsite on how to do this - just do a search for them.
You can now go back to the VNC connection and control the desktop of the PC. Select the PPC app that you want to install (that requires a PC) and begin the installation via VNC on the Axim. To change the install directory from Main Memory to Built In Storage via the VNC link, tap the drop down next to Main Memory, then touch the first letter of the location (b for BIS). You may need to tap BIS after that - YMMV. It seems that drop-downs don't want to cooperate via VNC, but the first letter trick gets around that.
You can now complete the installation to your Axim. Finish out any required taps on the PPC. Boom - you're done! And the PC was in the other room the whole while.
This is especially handy when you have a lot of apps to install that require the PC and you do not wish to be sitting at your desk doing it. With this, you can go to the other room, stretch out on the couch or your favorite chair and do all your installs in complete comfort!
You can also use RemoteDesktop on an XP box and Terminal Services on the Axim if you like for installations instead of VNC.
In addition, you can use VNC or Terminal Services to copy your Axim files to your PC, open the controlling app on the PC and print that document on your network/shared printer. It's a round-about way of printing from your Axim, but it works.
Cheers,
