Making screenshots

Is there a way to make screenshots without actually having to install any aditional third-party software or hacks?

Pocket Informant comes with a screen cap program. Of course that's assuming you have PI...

Nope, don't have the Pocket Informant.
Any other suggestions? Let's say I just received my Axim and got it out of the box - now how do I make a screenshot? :)

Resco Photo Viewer - should be on your Dell CD

There are 2 free options that should be available to you:

1. The companion CD should have come with a free OEM version of Resco File Explorer which includes a screen capture utility that is very simple to use.

2. Download the free MS remote display

I've been using Vidya Screen Capture on an X51V and it works nicely. Not a lot of bells & whistles, not resource-hungry, saves in .jpg or .bmp format. Just works well. Info available at:

Actually, I already have the RESCO Explorer 2005 v5.x installed, but I can't figure out where is the screencap feature?

It's not Resco Explorer but Resco Photo Viewer that has a screen shot feature.

Sorry, I mis-typed.

Gigi's right it is the free OEM PICTURE viewer I am referring to. It installs a stand alone app called Rcapture.exe.
