Then is there a simple and very light on resources screen capturing proggie without tons of bells and wistles (or WITH tons of bells and wistles - if it's still very light on resources :o)?

There are 2 free options that should be available to you:
1. The companion CD should have come with a free OEM version of Resco File Explorer which includes a screen capture utility that is very simple to use.

I've been using Vidya Screen Capture on an X51V and it works nicely. Not a lot of bells & whistles, not resource-hungry, saves in .jpg or .bmp format. Just works well. Info available at: Vidya Product Info Page

Actually, I already have the RESCO Explorer 2005 v5.x installed, but I can't figure out where is the screencap feature?
