Been lurking for a while and decided to delurk so people don't start getting frustrated about all the "broken links" for this topic. I tried all the links, but none worked...However I noticed that it STARTED to load the page, but then automatically jumped to a 404 page. I cleared my cache, and reloaded all of the original URLs, and hit escape while they were still loading (ESC is the keyboard equiv. of the Stop button on a browser) and looked at the page source. You HAVE to get to the page via http://www.3m.com/meetings first, then clicking on the "Promotions" graphic on the side, then select the free transparencies offer. the /meetings/ page puts a cookie on your system, and the promotions page looks for that cookie before it will display the page. If it doesn't find the cookie, it kicks you to the 404 page. If you are really quick and have a large enough lag on your system (it would probably be easier for dialup users), however, you can hit ESC before the kickover happens, but the links may or may not work :). Here are the comments I got from the page source:

So direct links don't work, but there is no impediment to getting the transparency offer if you go through www.3M.com/meetings first.

I ordered laser (the only printer we have at work is a color laserjet).

I just literally 2 minutes ago received my samples - that was pretty quick - only 8 days. There were 2 transparencies in the pack, so that's 12 more screen protectors (based on the Axim template I've got) for zilch! :) :)

ok...

you cut up the transparency pages into sizes that would cover the Axim LCD screen. It's like a poor man's way of saving a buck or two. ;) Nothing wrong with that.

Question is:
(I just ordered an Ax 400, and this is my first post :) ) So what
exactly are the dimensions of your transparency templates?
And is it as easy as it seems to slide it in and remove it when necessary?

I ordered the multi-purpose. I got mine in and they are smooth on one side for laser printers and rough on the other for ink-jet printers. I should have ordered the ones for laser printers only. FYI. Hope this helps some out there.

Just ordered mine, too. Sort of a pain to track down that link because it looks at your referrer value, which will show Aximsite.com and then automatically direct you to the 3M home page. Blah!

I am not sure of the screen template dimensions...sorry!

Easy way to get to the link:


Go to:
http://www.3m.com/meetings/product_c...lm/index.jhtml

And click on the "Free Sample Pack" link at the very bottom of the page. This will include the referrer link information which will not redirect you to the 3M home page. :)
This will pull up another page, which will have the final link at the top right labled "Request Free Sample Pack" and will take you directly to the form. Enjoy!
