I got the multipurpose pack, and I have to say that they are
JUST AWFUL!
I used the templates found on the linked site, cut one out -
- proceded to get fingerprints on it, which I couldn't clean off.
- put it on the Axim, and in one battery charge of use, the screen
protector is so scratched that it seriously hampers the readability
of the screen.
What am I doing wrong here?
I think I'll have to go back to the ones I bought from ecost for $3 per pack (of 10 or 12). At least those last several weeks and
don't have the fingerprint problem.
I had a Brando for my old Palm, and it really is the best one I've
used. I might have to order one for the Axim.
Hi: you are not doing anything wrong. I too, ordered the multipurpose pack. That rough side must be for the inkjet applications, totally unusable for writting on.
I will try the laser ones, which should be smooth on both sided.
washed i under running water.. now both sides are smooth ...:) ..
so thatz one problem solved just incase u ordered the multiurpose.. cuz i wud not want to put the rough side on my screen or even tap w/ my stylus on it...
and about the scratches.. mine has a lotttt of 'em.. but they r not notiecable when the axim is on and the screen's brightness is about halfway(or more) bright.
and BTW i did not use any templates or watever.. i just cut them .. washed them and put them in,.. thatz it
my question is...
what r the templates for?/
and how do i use them?
I reccomend AGAINST this. This is not designed for this application. It will waste your time waiting for this.
I say it works but it distorts and 'fuzzes' enough to notice. Its annoying and simply put, some FELLOWS sheets from Walmart is better than the 3M option.
