Remote Display Control for Pocket PC.

I lifted this from my E-mail suscription of POCKET PC Magazines article. It is a power toy that I had overlooked. Since installing I have used it several times and while the reaction time is a little slow if you want to enter a good bit of data directly into the AX it is worth having. Free of course

Sometimes, you just have to enter a lot of data into a document or application on your Pocket PC. At those times, you may find yourself yearning for something speedier than a little plastic stick.
If you'll be at your desk while you're entering the data, you can use the free Remote Display Control for Pocket PC. It's one of Microsoft's Power Toys for the Pocket PC. When you've downloaded it,at http://www.microsoft.com/mobile/pock.../powertoys.asp
connect your Pocket PC to your desktop PC via ActiveSync. Install the Remote Display Control by double-clicking the downloaded .exe file. Open the program on the desktop, and then open its counterpart on the Pocket PC by tapping "cerdisp" in Start > Programs. (I'm leaving out a couple of simple steps—check the readme file that comes with the program if you want the absolutely complete version.) The screen of your Pocket PC will appear on your desktop's monitor, where you can zoom in on it to make it easier to see. Now you can use your keyboard and mouse to open programs, enter data, and more. Use it to capture screenshots, to enhance presentations, or to show a colleague how to use a Pocket PC—you'll think of other uses as well.

Enjoy
:D

Yup, I use it all the time. It's a complete necessity if you have to reload apps and reconfigure them on your pocket pc a lot.

The price you quoted is for the enterprise version which is a 4 device license. There are two versions, the professional version is $ 25.99 and IMHO is worth the money.

It can do more than the MS freebie, which is OK if it meets your needs.

Great Folkds, but one question? Will it work with PC 2003? Have heard about some programs not functioning with that version, checked the web site and all I saw was mention of the PC 2002. Just wondering :D

I would hope so since it is all Microsoft, but who knows?

Even so

$26 bucks is better but free and meeting my needs is better. Seems like the Pocket Controler does a whole lot....but I don't need a whole lot. Others may have a different need. I imagine a Tech Support group may be able to justify.

Just my 37 cents worth of opione.
