I found this on smartphone forum. I tested it and it works perfectly on my Axim x51v with WM5 and A12.

Description: Add a wireless today plugin the displays SSID connected to and its on\off state. Also displays Bluetooth status.

Instructions:
Using a registry editor navigate to...
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Today\Items]

Create a new key named "Wireless" (YOU MUST USE THE QUOTES)

Create string named: DLL
Value = netui.dll

Create DWORD named: Order
Value = 9

Create DWORD named: Enabled
Value = 1

Create DWORD named: Type
Value = 4

You shouldnt need to reset your device. You can enable\disable the plugin by tapping Start, Settings, Today, Items Tab and selecting the plugin.

The cool thing is that the DLL (plugin) is already on our devices. It only requires a regedit to enable it.

But dont you wonder, how many other DLL's have a Today Screen capability? I wish I had the resources to test some other ones out that look like good candidates.

What plugin are you using that allows you to have those tabs on the left side for your tasks, etc? Never seen that before. Geez.. that sounds so newb.

SPB Diary. I love this program. You can display Notes, Email, Contacts, Tasks, Calendar. It can display items in groups by category for example. I cant live without it :love:

Pocketbreeze also allows you do alter you today screen. Again you can sort by categories, show tasks and include other today plugins in an organized way. Both have trials. give them a whirl and see which one works for you.

SPB Diary and PocketBreeze are competing products that do many of the same things. The community seems pretty evenly split between the two, so it is up to your personal preference. As suggested, give the trials a shot.

My vote is for PocketBreeze.
