No, you can't use your phone to surf the net. You're not allowed to turn on your phone while on the plane, except when allowed by the flight crew, which is usually just during taxiing after landing.

I assume you are kidding but just in case...... OF COURSE NOT! :approve: You can't use anythign that transmits a signal on the plane including your cell phone or any bluetooth or wifi device unless you can turn off the transmitter. At least under the current laws....

I've never had any problem with any of my computers/gadets getting through airport security; though a bit off topic, I seem to have a bigger issue with my personage and the TSA............. twice I've had full strip search.....full cavity job!

Both times I was travelling alone... unfortunately for me I think I have the wrong profile. I'm a male (caucasian) with frequent visits to the US and Europe. I was born a UK citizen, but have lived in the Cayman Islands for the last 9 years. Never have a problems when I'm with my wife though........

Bottom line: I don't think you have to worry about travelling with an Axim & bt GPS device in carry on!!!
