Question deleting files from SD card

What is the procedure for clearing files from your SD card? I've tried several methods and I cannot remove mapfiles from the SD card used in Ostia's GPS software?

Removing files

Or you can obtain a card reader that accepts CF and SD as well as memory sticks etc. and do it on the PC. Having just lost several vacation pictures using AS and explorer I'm not about to trust them again for moving files around. I got mine for $50 at Best Buy.

Save your money and just use File Explorer, or when you sync the handheld use the ActiveSync explorer to delete the files on the PPC from your PC. (note to self, stop saying PC)

Use file explorer / resco explorer. Select the SD Card, find the directory, tap and hold, choose delete. If still persist, just try renaming the file, and then soft reset the device. After that try the above procedure.
