My wife just got a new Dell laptop that is running Vista. On her old XP machine she has a lot of emails that relate to school that she wants to transfer over to the new computer. Now is that a lot to ask?

I had the bright idea of doing a hard rest on my axim after other attempts failed. Then syncing it with my wife computer. That obviously worked to get the emails onto my PDA. The problem is that I cannot get those emails onto her new computer. I know the reason why but I don't know how to work around it.

I don't understand when you delete a partnership that the emails are deleted with it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, I tried the easy transfer cable but it didn't work. The programs refused to scan the old computer for some reason.

Why don't you just save the .pst file from the Outlook on the old laptop, then import it to the Outlook on the new laptop?

To save the .pst file, go to File - Import and Export - Export to a File - Personal Folder File (.pst). To import it to the new laptop, go to File - Import and Export - Import from another program or file - Personal Folder File (.pst).

I'd also get into the habit of taking backups of .pst files. Just in case
