Facebook on your Windows CE based device

Around summer time i started having trouble accessing facebook from both my MobilePro 900c, running Win CE.net 4.2, and my x50v, running windows Mobile 2003SE. Big trouble. Whether using PIE or Webby, my browser crashed and shut down all windows whenever i entered the facebook hyperlink!

Well, it turns out that Facebook was doing some serious revamping of their website. For those of you who ae running Blackberries, Windows CE.net, and possible java based OSes, they now have different options for you.

Blackberries have the most flexibility, with a choice to leave it as is or install the new software, which utilizes less memory and is a bit sleeker, albeit a bit confusing to use at first.

PocketPCs need to use a completely different Hyperlnk! m.facebook.com will get you access to all your poking needs:)

I dont'have a java based phone, so wuld like someone to tell me if there is any change on that front:).

I am running a Dell Axim x51v Pocket PC, and I noticed the changes on my device. I use Opera Mobile to access the web, and previously facebook showed up a little squished, and I couldn't perform searches and stuff because they removed the search button. Now that they have a version of the page optimized for pocket pc things are formatted very nicely and work much better.

That said, Facebook is an evil malicious datamining operation tied to the CIA and the new world order. Not Kidding.

Ive noticed this happening to many sites in the time ive had my pocket pc. Sites have decided to start to take advantage of newer faster computers/internet connections in the past few years.

A good example is yahoo. Look how simple it was at the begining of 06. An ppc could easily render this page okay.
Yahoo!

Now look at yahoo today. New fancy layers, ui, etc and pie cant render these at least in its older versions.
