What about using the mobile version of any photo hosting site that provides the option, and uploading photos there.
As far as direct to the site, that would be a nice feature for the mods to add to the site, but from my experience pie (at least on 2003se, it may now) doesnt support browsing and uploading. Netfront does, but pie 2003se doesnt.

Post your pictures to a photo hosting website
Then use the [IMG] option to refer to the specific website link for the picture you wish to post in your thread.

Resco photo viewer advertises the program's ability to upload to Flickr
Can't say that I've tried it yet--I've got Resco and I have a Flickr album, but haven't put the two together, yet.
Edit: Just tried a few buttons on Resco Photo Viewer: Menu > Send to > Publish to Web brings me to a screen where I can enter a web site (like Flickr) for uploading pictures. Looks fairly easy.

Sure you can. First. you'll email your picture to a special flickr account that is set up for your exclusive use, then you'll go out to flickr, select the picture you wish to post, copy the site address, come to the forum, create a message on a thread, insert the link you just copied between the [IMG] tag like this:

The Following User Says Thank You to Julie For This Useful Post:
okay, that didn't quite work.......okay, the picture needs to have a .gif, .jpg, etc extension to be displayed here. So flickr won't do the job.

Ok, Julie - sorry I didn't get the word 'email' the first time.
Thanks for the tip - will look into it :)
Now I just wonder whether our 'own=Chris' WRRX.COM got the same feature and I'm just too thick headed to have noticed :scratch_h
I think it is a new feature--they made a bit of noise about it in their recent release--I have version 6.33; you might well have to upgrade to get this feature in Resco.
Edit: found this set of instructions in Resco's forums; it is a feature of the more recent version, Z:
Here is the result of my search into (g)mail and Google Picasa photo album:

Uploading
To add an image from a camera phone to Picasa Web Albums, you’ll first need to upload it using your PC. At this time, Picasa Web Albums doesn't support direct uploading to your web albums from mobile devices.
