Microsoft Money 2003

I bought my Axim 200MHz recently and installed the ActiveSync that was included. I have been using MS Money 2003 (came w/ WinXP) for about 6 months now. My friend who has PPC2002 has been using MS Money on his PDA for a while.

How exactly can I transfer my data from my PC to PDA. ActiveSync's options say nothing about MSMoney syncronization. MS Money 2003's help only provdes help if you have PPC2002.

Please Help. AXIMSite rules!!!!!!!!!

It'a a bit complicated, but you need to download the free install of Money 2004 for ppc and install it to your Ax. It is the only version that will work with PPC 2003.

Money 2004 for PPC

Then download Money ppc 2003 and attempt to install it over ppc 2004 on your Ax. It will not let you when you try, but afterward money 2004 ppc will appear in active sync and you will be able to sync with Money 2003 for your desktop.

Money 2003 for ppc

or you could just buy Money 2004 for the desktop and the CD will have money 2004 for ppc on it.

Hmm

Thanks, I read this suggestion in an earlier post of the same thread and performed this somewhat stupid feat. It now works well. Also, is there a way to view Money charts off yr PDA. And, what are the benifits of M2004 as opposed to M2003?

I do not believe viewing charts is possible with ppc money. the options are limited. Just enter new deductions, view the register, etc. I am not sure what, if any benifits there are with 2004 over 2003 in the ppc version. I think M$ is just trying to force us into purchasing the upgrade of desktop 2004. However, I am sure that there are some benifits of the 2004 desktop version. I just am not sure that it is worth it to upgrade. As long as Money 2003 works I'm gonna stick with it, especially now that I can get ppc 2004 to sync with it.

:)
