screem dim problem?

hi all
i have just ugraded to A12 and no problems but!!
if i change the dim setting from 15sec to any other the setting goes back to 15 sec when i turn it off and back on is this a known problem and is there answer?

Did you do a restore of an old setup after you did the update? That is known to cause this problem. And it isn't a good idea to do that anyway unless you are using Sprite and set it up ahead of time to do that. It is possible that you overwrote some of the new files if you did. Before I get too long winded here, is that what happened?

hi yes i did try to do a restore but it told me that it was from an old version and
stopped me so at that point i did a hard reset.
i wonder if a do fresh hard reset this might cure this

Yes I think I would try that. If you have a program that can look at the registry you can do a search for the word 'light' and you will see the settings there. I have to look at how I was fixing mine when I had that problem and I will let you know what to look for. But try the hard reset first.

Here is what my registry looks like for the light. I had to scroll down to get everything in the pic but there is one thing I couldn't get in. at the top of this list is a directory called LockLevel. open that and be sure that the data is set to 0 for LockLevel. Of course if a hard reset fixed it then don't do any of this!
