I have got Axim x50 LE PDA with Windows Mobiel 2003SE. I want to upgrade it to WM5. How can i do it? I am beginner with pda. Please help me.

If you do a search, you will find that most people agree that upgrading an x50 to wm5 is a bad idea. 2003se is a much more stable os on the x50.

Most downgrade back to 2003se in the end.

Let him decide for himself on whether WM5 is better than WM2003 SE or not? First, you need to buy the upgrade cd for X50 series. Dell no longer sells it, so you will need to look elsewhere for the upgrade cd such as Ebay. Then, install Activesync 4.2 (version 4.5 has been known to have problems) after you get the cd. Last, follow the instructions for the flashing program. Just be informed that you will need to do a hard reset after the bootloader flashes (1st hard reset prompt), so put it back in the cradle and ignore the Activesync prompt and continue with the flashing.
