Arrow Speed up your x50v !!!

The one and only solution that worked for me AT LAST!

I 've been trying several ways to increase my WM5 device speed, especially screen response time, without any obvious result. I recently upgraded to WM6 hoping something would change. Disappointed, I started thinking of rolling back to WM2003 which runs smoothly on x50v.

Until I stumbled upon a well-known, but never before tried (speaking for myself of course!), application: Pocket Hack Master.

This powerful app allows processor scaling AND disabling of the built-in scaling app of my device. Installation, soft-reset and... I STILL CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!!

The performance of my x50v has dramatically increased, everything runs smoothly and fast on WM6 :):):)

Give it a try Hope it works for you too

:)

you should google for it or go to xda-developers, it is not allowed to talk about it here.. WM6 is not licensed for Dell devices

I guess you want to stop discussing about that ...

I got a question on topic: can't you turn off Processor scaling? Then the Device should be at least as fast as with any kind of scaling - right?

That's correct daniu. But keeping your pda running at a constant speed without scaling is much more battery-consuming at high speeds. Obviously lower speeds might not be enough for some apps.

just because its set to 624mhz doesn't mean its gonna use that all the time so therefore if you close all your apps before you switch off it will not drain the battery as much as you think.

Processor scaling allows you to change the speed of the processor. Speeds around 200something Megahurz will deliver satisfactory performance with some apps (i have had success with eBook readers scaled back to 110 or so Mhz) or maintain a high speed for processor intensive tasks (i.e. 3d games or watching movies) The default setting for the Ax x51v is automatic which adjusts depending on what kind of demands you are placing on the hardware. The highest setting without additional software is 624Mhz. With additional software some people have had success running 700+ MHz though I find that this tends to freeze my Ax. I hope this helped.
